Van Clements was raised in the Monterey Bay area of California. He met Erica while attending Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz, California and they were married in 1988. After graduating, they served as an associate pastor in Southern California. Before coming to Willamette, the Clements served their Alma Mater, as director of College Relations. Van joined the staff at WCC in 1995 and served as the Music Pastor, and Executive Pastor before being elected as the lead pastor in August of 2008. Van & Erica have 4 children; Alyson, Claire, Samuel and Hope.

  • What is your favorite Bible verse?
    Psalm 119:32 “I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.”
  • What is your favorite food?
    My favorite thing is a bold cup of coffee with something small, but rich and sweet! And I’m always up
    for a great taco!
  • What is a favorite hobby of yours?
    Running, reading, creating stuff on the computer, playing with my kids. And I’m always up for a
    round of golf!

Patti grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota and moved to Colorado for college.  She met her husband, Steve at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, and they married in 1989.  After graduating with a degree in technical journalism, Patti served on the staff of First Christian Church as part of the college ministry’s pastoral team.  She and Steve later moved to Oregon where they were on staff with Youth with a Mission in Salem, Oregon.  For three years, they trained young adults in discipleship and cross cultural missions, leading teams into the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Israel and Africa. Steve and Patti joined the pastoral team at WCC in 1994 and have worked with youth, worship and prayer ministry, as well as missions

  • What is your favorite Bible verse?
    Psalm 90:12 "Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."
  • What is your favorite food?
    My mom’s caramel roll recipe with a cup of coffee…anytime of the day!
  • What is a favorite hobby of yours?
    Gardening and harvesting the produce! Baking pies, reading, walking/running, watching sports....

Dan was in the USAF stationed in Monterey, California when he met Sandi, his future wife. They were married in 1966 with the united goal of going to China as missionaries. Dan then finished his degree after his Air Force days were over.  He took a double degree in Bible/Theology and Social Science in 1973. After having pastored they went to Thailand in 1979. Most recently they spent several years in China teaching English and helping in a church. They have three grown children, Shawna, Sherine, and Mark. And they have 5 grandchildren.

  • What is your favorite Bible verse?
    My favorite bible verses are Ephesians 1:7-9 " In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ. 
    And 2 Peter 1:3-4  "His divine power has given us everything we need for life  and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the  world  caused by evil desires."
  • What is your favorite food?
    A Thai Dish called Green Curry

    Listening to Revival Music

Eric Lura was raised in the Bay Area of California. He met Holly at Bethany College in 1991, and 1994 he graduated, married Holly, and began ministering in Sacramento, California as an Associate Pastor. He later served as Interim Pastor in Loomis, California, and then as an Associate in Dublin, California before coming to Willamette Christian Center in May of 2010.

  • What is your favorite Bible Verse? 
    2 Timothy 2:2 "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others."
  • What is your favorite food? 
    I enjoy a good tri-tip dinner, specifically a Costo tri-tip dinner. 
  • What is a favorite hobby of yours?
    Bike-riding, photography, exercising, and watching a good movie...(can I say that?).

Ranee Werder was born and raised in Eugene. She has attended WCC since 1984. Ranee met her husband Tim in 2004 and knew  while building a Kid’s Musical Set together that she would marry Tim that following year. Later in 2005 Ranee and Tim also became proud parents of their 13 year old nephew Cameron. After a 26 year career in the wood products industry in the area of finance, Ranee came to join the W CC team in 2007 where she began working as the Business Administrator.

  • What is your favorite Bible verse?
    Proverbs 3:5,6  "Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend 
    on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."
  • What is your favorite food?
    Peanut M&M’s & Diet Pepsi!!

    Doing puzzles



            Dr. John Eckelbarger | School Administrator 

Jr. John D. Eckelbarger has been involved in pastoral ministry and Christian school education for the past 31 years. After spending the last nine years as principal of the junior high school at Lexington Christian Academy in Lexington, Kentucky, John felt God's calling to Willamette Christian School in July 2011. John completed his doctoral work at Anderson University School of Theology in Leadership Development. John and his wife Deb are the parents of three grown children (Rebekah, Nathan and Anna-Noel) and the grandparents of six wonderful grandchildren.     

  • What is your favorite Bible Verse?  Isaiah 40:27-31 "Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain O Israel 'My ways are hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded by my God.' Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not be faint."
