February 2010 is all about being #1.
- The 7th is superbowl sunday which will tell us who is #1 in the NFL.
- The 14th is Valentines Day and hopefully you'll spend the day with your #1 friend.
- The 21st and 28th fall during the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. In contest after contest the #1 atheletes will shine and go for the gold.
God has some thoughts on #1. He said we need to "seek 1st" the kingdom of God. He said we should offer our 1st fruits. And he said that in marriage the 2 would become 1. The marriage vow is the start of covenant love and oneness.
During these month of Sundays Pastor Van and Erica Clements will team up for conversations about oneness in marriage. These talks are for married people, divorced people, single, people, young people, widows and widowers. Using the traditional marriage vows as an outline, we will walk through God's perspective on 1.
February 7 - "I take you..."
February 14 - "...to have and to hold"
February 21 - "...for better or for worse"
February 28 - "...from this day forward"
